rare Chelsea white figure of an Owl naturalistically modelled with
well delineated plumage perched on a rocky mound base.

An
Extremely Rare Chelsea Strawberry Bowl, the deep cusped leaf-shaped
bowl moulded on the underside and picked out in colours with
strawberry leaves, which form the four feet, from which issues
tendrils, leaves and fruits, all picked out in strong puce,
turquoise and red enamels, the body painted with sprigs and sprays
of European flowering plants surrounding the flowers fly winged
insects, to one side a puce tendril forms a small lobed handle,
having a single alpine strawberry as its lower terminal, the bowl
with brown line rim.

rare Chelsea plate of indented lobed form, beautifully painted with
sprigs and sprays of European flowers and insects, including; a
hyacinth, a heartsease, red striped convolvulus, and a rose, with
brown line rim.

A
rare Chelsea fluted rectangular Dish, painted with two reflected
ogival panels containing harbour scenes, with merchants at
conversation beside ruined classical buildings, reserved on the
white porcelain ground which is scattered with sprigs and sprays of
European flowers and insects in flight.

A Very Rare Pair of Chelsea Reticulated
Bowls and Stands, the circular bowls of baluster shape with
asymmetrical scroll moulded cartouches painted with bold sprays and
sprigs of European flowers, including; roses, convolvulus, tulips,
narcissus and jasmine, alternating with reticulated scrolled panels,
the stands with similar decoration, the irregular moulded edges with
brown line rims.
Circa 1756.

Diameter of bowls: 6ins. (15cms.)
Diameter of stands: 8½ ins. (22cms.)
Marks: One bowl and stand with red
anchor marks to the underside of each piece.

A
fine and rare Chelsea Peony Dish, moulded in low relief and forming
an open bloom, the centre picked out in pale yellow and puce, the
outer edges of the petals picked out in puce carmine, between two
leaves painted in differing tones of green and delicately veined in
puce, the handle which links the two leaves is formed as a budded
tendril.

A very fine and rare
Chelsea peony dish, the open bloom moulded in low relief, its centre
picked out in puce, its outer leaves edged in yellow, between two
leaves in differing tones of green moulded in low relief and with
delicate puce veining, the handle formed as a tendril and bud
spanning the two leaves.

A
very Important Pair of Chelsea Oval Dishes of indented form, moulded
in crisp low relief with two bands of flowering chrysanthemum, the
border alternating with sprays of European flowers, the centre of
the first with a large spray of similar flowers including crocus,
roses and campanula, together with butterflies in flight and a
caterpillar, the second with similar flowers but the centre with a
real Monarch butterfly feeding on apple blossom, together with a
dragonfly and a real specimen of the Privet Hawk Moth painted in
extraordinary detail.

An
interesting and rare Chelsea ribbed teabowl, the exterior painted
with sprigs of orange and yellow flowers and heartsease, together
with a larger spray of European flowers, including; two large roses,
scarlet pimpernel and wild dog rose, the interior painted with a Red
Admiral butterfly, the slightly everted edge with a brown line rim.
Circa 1755-58.

A
Highly Important and previously unrecorded Chelsea Boar Hunt Group,
the scene portrayed appears here at its climax laid out before a
gnarled tree stump, it is composed of the Boar now run down reclined
and bellowing, painted with a very high degree of natural detail,
its coat picked out in tones of brown, attacked by four hounds who
lurch at various parts of its body each with spotted markings to
their coats, the group on an irregularly moulded rocky base applied
all over with coloured flowers and leaves.
