Fine Pair of Sèvres Seaux à Liqueur ovales painted with luxuriant bouquets of flowers between gilt line rims with shell and foliage scroll handles and pierced web-shaped dividers.

Circa 1755

Blue interlaced L’s enclosing date letter V, painter’s marks LB of “Le Bel”, BD of “Baudouin”, FB of “Barrat” and a crown of “Sioux”, one incised TM and the other jM.

Width 12 in (30.5 cm)

Provenance:
Bought from Nicholas Morlet in 1777 by the 1st Earl of Normanton, and thence by descent to the present Lord Normanton of Somerely House, Hampshire
