An important Chelsea circular dish, with lobed scalloped edge, beautifully painted by Jefferyes Hamett O’Neale with the Fable of the Hunting Dog and the Lap Dog within a wooded landscape with characteristic Van Dyke Brown rocks and vegetation in the foreground, a farm building and fence to one side before a Coulis of tall trees and a distant rocky landscape, surrounded by sprigs of European flowers, including a penstemon, clover and campanula bud, within a gold line rim.

Diameter: 17.5 cms (6 ins)

Mark: Small anchor in gold.
