A Derby pierced circular twin handled basket formed as (No.63), the exterior with vivid blue florets, the interior beautifully decorated with unusual sprigs of English wild fruit including: alpine strawberries, rosehips and sloes together with vivid small winged butterflies.
Circa 1760.

Diameter: 6 ¾ ins. (17cms.)

Patch marks to the underside of the footrim.

One of the most unusual and beautiful hands involved in painting fruit and insects at Derby at this time.
