Specializing in Pre-Columbian art, historic African ceramics, archaic art of Indonesia and South East Asia, Douglas Dawson Gallery has been located in Chicago since 1983. Originally dealing exclusively in ancient and antique tribal textiles the focus was expanded to include world ceramics, archaic stone sculpture and areas of the ethnographic arts that the gallery feels are under appreciated and/or offer excellent opportunities to both new and established collectors. The gallery considers The International Fine Art and Antique Dealers Show one of the most important venues for fine antiquities in the United States and retains many of its finest pieces for this show.
