We aim at offering a wide range of the extant corpus of medieval and Renaissance manuscripts, miniatures and early printing and thus attempt to include all facets of the history of the book in providing a complex inventory of museum quality. Apart from religious books like bibles, books of hours, prayer books and liturgical instructions you will find philosophical and historical works as well as vernacular courtly and popular literature. Moreover, we offer milestones in the category of scientific books, comprising herbals and medical treatises, books about the art of war, mechanics and architecture as well as mathematical and astronomic tracts.
