Since its founding in 1974 by Gerard Widdershoven, Maison Gerard has specialized in fine French Art Deco Furniture, Lighting & Objects d’art. Showcasing the work of important Art Deco designers such as: Jean-Michel Frank, Jules Leleu and E.J. Ruhlmann. Through curated exhibitions, the gallery has sought to illustrate the subtle movements within the period. Maison Gerard for over two decades has championed the work of Leleu, including three exhibitions, as well as contributing to Francoise Siriex’s definitive tome, The House of Leleu. Recently Maison Gerard has introduced and cultivated the work of contemporary designers and artisans: Hervé van der Straeten, Jean-Berenger de Nattes, Miquel Cisterna, Thomas Boog, Marc Bankowsky, Nicholas Howey, Per Weiss and Maria Grazia Rosin.
