About JDRF:
JDRF exists to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications, and is the world's leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research.
Type 1 diabetes is caused by a problem with the immune system. It is not linked to lifestyle factors and changes to diet or exercise habits can not prevent or cure it. Only research will find the cure.
