Fine Art Fair opened with a lively and elegant Gala Preview / 01 May, 2009
The 16th annual International Fine Art Fair opened with a lively and elegant Gala Preview for the benefit of the Frick Collection. Over five hundred top collectors, connoisseurs, social figures, and Frick supporters celebrated the Spring Art season among 700 glorious years of paintings, drawings and sculpture. Among the guests were Stephen and Christine Schwarzman, Agnes Gund, The Honorable and Mrs. Felix G. Rohatyn, Geoffrey Bradfield, Irene Roosevelt Aitken, and Beatrice Stern. There are early reports from exhibitors of excellent sales and vigorous interest from the Opening Night Gala Preview and the fair's Opening Day.
